PARALLEL SITUATION

In „parallel situation,“ dance and photography meet in real time. Through a performative dialogue, Barbara Lubich and Anna Till explore the power of images. The stage space transforms into a canvas for imagery, and movement becomes the subject matter. The photographs are created during the performance itself, revealing unusual perspectives and details: moments of peak physical tension, bizarre framings, or the playful interplay between sharpness and blur are projected directly into the present moment.

„Parallel situation“ focuses on the emergence of images and the atmosphere they hold. Is a photograph merely a surface, an object, or perhaps an imagined or narrated image? And what role does the past play?

In „parallel situation“ treffen Tanz und Fotografie in Echtzeit aufeinander. In einem performativen Dialog verhandeln Barbara Lubich und Anna Till die Kraft von Bildern. Der Bühnenraum verwandelt sich in Bildflächen und die Bewegung wird zum Motiv. Die Aufnahmen entstehen im Moment der Performance und eröffnen ungewöhnliche Perspektiven und Details: Augenblicke maximaler Körperspannung, bizarre Bildausschnitte oder das lustvolle Spiel zwischen Schärfe und Unschärfe werden unmittelbar in die Gegenwart projiziert. 

In „parallel situation“ geht es um das Entstehen von Bildern, um die Atmosphäre, die in ihnen steckt. Ist ein Foto nur eine Oberfläche, ein Objekt oder etwa ein imaginiertes, ein erzähltes Bild? Und welche Rolle spielt, was war?
