Die Fotografin Charlotte Rudolph schuf die Abbildungen, die den Tanz der Mary Wigman in aller Welt verbreiteten und ihre Kunst bis in die Gegenwart sichtbar machen.
Im Jahr 1929 treffen sich die beiden Künstlerinnen – wie so oft – im Studio der Fotografin. Es entsteht eine Fotografie aus einem Motiv des „Sommerlichen Tanzes“ von Wigman.
Dieses eine Bild wählen Barbara Lubich und Anna Till als Motiv für ihre fotografische Rekonstruktion. Aus welcher Bewegung entstand das Bild? Wie wurde das Licht gesetzt, der Ausschnitt bestimmt, der Augenblick festgehalten? Indem Lubich und Till den Augenblick der Fotografie nachvollziehen, nähern sie sich der kollaborativen Arbeitsweise der beiden Künstlerinnen.
Photographer Charlotte Rudolph produced the early images of dance artist Mary Wigman, that helped to make her dances availbale and visible in the whole world and until today.
In 1929 the two artists, Rudolph and Wigman, meet – as usual – in the photographer`s studio. The captured photo out of the dance ciycle „Sommerlicher Tanz“ is made.
Photographer Barbara Lubich and dancer Anna Till chose exactly this image for their photographic reconstruction. Out of which movement did the image emerge? How was the light placed and the frame chosen? Under which circumstances did this image result? Through reconstructing the moment in which the picture was taken, Lubich and Till want to understand the collaboration of the two artists, a dialogue between photographer and motif.
