Since 2016, Antje Pfundtner has been researching the themes of transience and the nature of time. During research for the piece „ENDE,“ a video project emerged featuring dancers who recalled their final steps on stage in Antje Pfundtner’s presence and subsequently gifted them to her. Filmmaker Barbara Lubich collaborated with Pfundtner to develop this material into a video installation that serves as both an intimate exchange regarding the former dancers‘ motivations and a reconstruction of historical moments. What seemingly belongs to the past is called into question by the choreographer’s interventions and presence, offering a tangible engagement with biographical history and the transmission of dance.

Seit 2016 forscht Antje Pfundtner zum Thema Vergänglichkeit und den Gesetzmäßigkeiten von Zeit. Während der Recherche zu dem Stück „ENDE“ entstand ein Videoprojekt über Tänzerinnen, die ihre letzten Bühnenschritte im Beisein von Antje Pfundtner erinnerten und ihr anschließend schenkten. Die Filmemacherin Barbara Lubich konzipierte daraus zusammen mit Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft eine Videoinstallation, die sowohl intimer Austausch über die Beweggründe der ehemaligen Tänzer*innen ist, als auch historische Momente rekonstruiert. Was scheinbar der Vergangenheit gehört, wird durch die Interventionen und Präsenz der Choreografin in Frage gestellt und gewährt eine fühlbare Auseinandersetzung mit biografischer Geschichtsschreibung und der Weitergabe von Tanz.
